Hello darling!

I hope you had a nice weekend. I would like you to meet the newest addition to our family. Her new name (was Fancy Dancy---a huh) is Dexie. She is 3 months old, a purebred short hair Chihuahua. We adopted her from the local animal shelter. She is the sweetest thing ever. It was love at first sight. She has been thru quiet a bit in her short life, she has a scar on top of her little head, looks like she may have once had a bad cut. She was born with a kink on the end of her tail, and altho we where told otherwise (that it should clear up) we think that she may be blind in one eye. We do not care about all that. She has an apointment with the Vet on Friday to have her stitches removed (was recently spayed) and we will see what the doc has to say about her eye.

As you can see, she and Ziggy are getting along just fine! As I write this post, they are both asleep on Ziggy's bed. She still has not met the kitty cats. I can not believe we have to start all over again! Ziggy has been with us for a year, and barely a few months ago BB stoped hissing at him, and it has been about 2 weeks, since Peanut started playing with him. Yes, it was a  very long time until I was comfortable having Ziggy alone with the cats, but these things are not easy, and do not happen overnight. So later today, I think we will make the first introduction, and get ready for the hissing, growling and puffy tails.

I have some shop news as well, but right now I have to list a few things and then do my excercises! I will be back tomorrow, with SALE previews for you.

My girls are BEGGING for a dog, specifically a chihuahua. I'm not a lover of dogs, but they're nuts for them. They would love yours.

Thank you so much Nanette!

Oh Cindy, I have had Zigy for a year, and he is such a joy and a blast to have around. I used to not like Chi's, becasue the few I had met where so yippy and a bit annoying, but it all comes down to what anyone with any type of dog would say. Training.

If your girls are small, maybe a full gorwn Chi from the shelter would be best, they are so very delicate.Dexies little toes are less than 1/4" wide!

They are so loyal, playful and protective. Funny as hell (pardon my potty mouth) but these 2 already crack me up! They love to play and run around, but you have the HUGE advantage that Chi's are total nap freaks, so count on many hours of them being asleep.

Ziggy had days when all he did was sleep, and maybe spend a few hours within a 24 hour period awake. Now with Dexie, he sleeps a bit less, and as it has only been a few days, I can see how our routine is going to shape up, and it looks like both of them napping at the same time is a possibility.

In the end, I can go on and on, but it is really up to you. Our puppys are perfect for us, we don't have the time to have really active dogs, big dogs require a big yard, and tons of excercise, besides us working (me 6 days a week!) living here where we do, it rains alot, and if not it is so cold or windy, so walks are a few and in between until summer.

If you ever want to talk (email) about the puppys, please feel free to send me one, that way I don't bore anyone to death around here.

I own (all rescued) 6 dogs and 3 of them are chihuahuas (2 short haired and 1 wire-haired mixed). I tell you I LOVE chihuahuas. They are the best!! If I could have more dogs, I would rescue more chihuahuas!!

Congrats on your new addition. She is precious. And I am so proud of you for what you did to her. You saved a life! You're wonderful ^_^
